24 days of Christmas

is an art project launched to push myself into working deliberately on one theme with one aesthetic look. The little paintings are approximately 20x20 cm. and are mounted on the wall as wall pieces.

They are folded up as what would translate to a “mouse ladder” (in Danish: musetrappe), the simplest possible form of origami and well known from Christmas decorations. Here are 24 little christmas gifts. All works are unique and made on 180g Sennelier cotton paper.

It is, however, also a way for me to be working with my everlasting love for paper, gouache and that which exists hidden in between layers.
